Membership Classifications & Requirements

Membership Classifications & Requirements are outlined in the NAEBA Bylaws, Article II, Sections 2 A, B and C.

The non-voting members includes three subclasses of Affiliated Members:


Broker or Agent Member

To Apply for Broker / Agent Active Membership, please complete the Membership Application.

Voting members shall include Broker Members and Agent Members. All voting members shall be exclusive buyer agents. An Exclusive Buyer Agent (EBA), company or franchise, is one whose broker and associates all work exclusively for buyers as fiduciary agents. EBAs never represent sellers, never list properties or work in any capacity which conflicts with the best interests of their buyer clients.

Broker Members shall have the right to:

  • attend all membership meetings
  • vote upon all business to come before the Association
  • serve on all committees as appointed by leadership
  • vote upon all business to come before a committee upon which they serve
  • serve in all positions of leadership including directors, officers, assistant vice-presidents, and committee chairs
  • use the official designation of the Association on all their business and personal promotions.

They shall have available to them the full resources of the Association for exclusive buyer agencies as determined by the Directors.

Agent Members shall have the right to:

  • attend all membership meetings
  • vote upon all business to come before the Association
  • serve on all committees as appointed by leadership and to vote upon all business to come before a committee upon which they serve
  • serve in all positions of leadership including directors, officers, assistant vice-presidents, and committee chairs
  • use the official designation of the Association on all their personal promotions

They shall have available to them the full resources of the Association for Exclusive Buyer Agents as determined by the Directors.

International Affiliate

To Apply for International Affiliate Membership, please complete the International Affiliate Membership Application.

Affiliate Members may:

  • serve on NAEBA committees
  • may attend sessions at:
    - NAEBA Conventions
    - Mid-Year Meetings
    - other NAEBA-sponsored events, except where specifically noted in NAEBA Programs
    - use of the NAEBA logo

Except for NAEBA Committees, Affiliate members shall not vote in NAEBA matters.

Service Provider Affiliate

To Apply for Service Affiliate Membership, please complete the Service Affiliate Membership Application.

Service Affiliates are businesses and employees of those businesses who promote and/or sells products or services to association members, or one whose firm is closely related with the real estate industry, but whose firm and who individually are not actively engaged in real estate brokerage activities. $400 per membership year.

Affiliate Members may:

  • serve on NAEBA committees
  • may attend sessions at:
    - NAEBA Conventions
    - Mid-Year Meetings
    - other NAEBA-sponsored events, except where specifically noted in NAEBA Programs.

Except for NAEBA Committees, Affiliate members shall not vote in NAEBA matters.

When an Affiliate member advertises, the words "Affiliate member" will be displayed.

Service Affiliate members shall not be entitled to use the NAEBA Logo.
